FELLOW FOX TROTTERS

The hot days of summer are winding down, school has started, football season has begun and deer hunters are starting to plant deer plots. The very best time of horse riding is just around the corner.

The Nick Cox ride in Bastrop is coming up on the 17th and 18th of September with some campers coming in on Thursday the 16th. REMEMBER TO CALL CAMPGROUND PARK OFFICIALS IF YOU PLAN ON STAYING OVERNIGHT.

If you plan to ATTEND Friday evening Dinner -- Please call

Jimmy Christmas 1-318-281-4825
Peggy Christmas 1-318-281-3765

And let them know. Friday activity starts at 6:00 p.m. with food and entertainment

The Friday ride starts at 1:00 p.m. and the Saturday ride starts at 9:30 a.m. Contact Buddy Savage and let him know your riding plans (318-874-5121).

THE OCTOBER GRAND OPENING IN BASTROP HAS BEEN POSTPONED TIL A LATER DATE

This will be quite a weekend and it would be great to have all our Fox Trotter members attend to show our support to Jimmy Christmas and Buddy Savage for all the work they have put into making this a very special place. Please contact either Jimmy or Buddy if you can be of assistance during this opening. This will be a great place for meetings, play days, shows and a Christmas party. They are selling out fast so we need to discuss any interest in planned activities for the fall. The gathering at the Nick Cox ride would be a good opportunity to discuss club's interest in scheduling any fall activities.

Hope to see you all at the Nick Cox Ride

Keep all our members in prayers as we are all getting older and sickness and ailments seem to be common place.

God Bless,
Jim Sullivan
